Suzanne TateSuzanne is a biologist who spent so much time outside learning about her local wildlife, she started writing books. She started writing when she became a grandparent and her grandchild was interested in nature.
She is originally from Ohio but now lives in North Carolina's Outer Banks and has written an entire Nature Series. Her first book called, Crabby & Nabby, is based on her family's crab-shedding business. She has won the Learning Magazine's Teachers' Choice Award. Her favorite story that she's written is Salty Sea Gull: A Tale of an Old Salt. What is unique about Suzanne's writing is that she writes non-fiction in a way that is accessible to lower elementary stories. And, she writes about animals that aren't always found in little kid non-fiction. |
